Sangre Latina was conceived in 1996, under the title of 'Ballet Mexico Lindo' (Beautiful Mexican Ballet) and began with 28 full time dancers. The name has become synonymous with quality shows throughout the Mayan Riveria and beyond, where they have been regular performers to full houses at the most selected places.

Sangre Latina have choreographers and dancers that embrace many of the requested styles for shows. Most shows are prepared in house with the clients vision as the starting point. Sangre Latina have made several productions specifically from client requests. Genres of dance include but are not limited to the following:

Classical Ballet, Jazz, Tap Dance (including Mexican Folklor and Irish Dancing), Contemporary, Latin, Fusion, Acrobatic, etc.

With Sangre Latina's reputation growing into the 21st century, the company has been obliged to increase its repertoire to cater for the demand especially from the 4* and 5* stars hotels in Mexico. Genres and styles were born from Latin American rhythms and now encapsulate styles from varying cultures, including the Caribbean, a mix of all Latin genres with the global appeal of specific internationally acclaimed styles. At present Sangre Latina currently have 15 full productions that are rotated between its client base, with a current dance troop numbering more than 90. Head offices are located in Porto Vallarta, Cancun and Playa del Carmen.

During the Caribbean cruise season between 2003 to 2007 they did presentations on board 'Carnavals' ships when the boats docked in El Puerto de Cozumel and Playa del Carmen in Mexico. Most of the productions were based around the Mayan Culture, folklore, and rhythms. Sangre Latina presented a short introduction into the history and journey of what has now become modern day Mexico. The ships were Celebration, Paradise, Elation, Imagination, and The Destiny.

Since 2004 the company has travelled to Europe each winter for a 4 month tour doing presentations at theatres, schools, and other recognised establishments. The countries have included Austria, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. Sangre Latina have also partnered with dance schools, these academies have decades of experience of global dance formats and with this relationship they are able to share the beauty and vision of dance to young people and use dance and music to promote global awareness of unity.

Sangre Latina adds the experience of production development and assists dancers to see the potential within production management and choreography.
